+ know the names of some characters used in New English 3. Example: Miss Hien, Mai, Nam, Hoa, Linda, Tony, ….
+ know some signs, teacher’s statement and their meaning.

- Ss: book Tieng anh 3.
- T: stereo, teaching plan, pictures.

T ask Ss to open the text book on page 2. Point to the pictures and tell pupil they are going to be familiar with some characters.

Ask ss to practise in pairs.
