A. Aims and objectives
- In this period, Ss practice speaking and listening. They learn how to give and respond to instructions.
- After the lesson , Ss can:
+ Use the words and phrases related to the topic Classroom instructions.
+ Give and respond to classroom instructions.
B. Materials
- Ss: book Tieng anh 3.
- T: stereo, teaching plan, pictures.
C. Contents and organization.
I. Warm up
- T and Ss sing a song “The more we are together”.
II. Old lesson
No checking
III. New lesson.
- Tell ss that they are going to practice giving and responding to classroom instructions. T point to the first picture and elicit name of the teacher. Then explain what the characters say and the meaning of the new vocabulary.
- Play the recording twice times. SS listen and repeat.
- Get ss to work in pairs to practice the dialogue..
- Call some pairs to practise aloud. T listen and give feedback.

- Tell pls that they are going to practice giving and acting out classroom instructions.
- Point to each instruction and check comprehendsion. Teach the new vocabulary. Demonstrate the actions.
- Get ss to act out each instruction a few times.
- Ss work in pairs, take turns to say and act out the instructions.
- Call some pairs to act out.
- T listen and give feedback

- Tell Ss that they are going to practice more with their friends. Give a few seconds for pls to look at the pictures.
- T elicit the words to fill the gaps.
- Write the instructions on the board.
- Get pls to repeat a few times.
- Get ss to work in pairs, take turns to say and act out the instructions.
- Call some pairs to perform the task in front of the class.
- T correct the pronounciation, if necessary.
IV. Consolidation
- Ss practice giving and responding to the instructions.

- After the lesson , Ss will be able to:
+ Use the words and phrases related to the topic Classroom instructions.
+ Give and respond to classroom instructions
+ ask for and give permission, using May I …? And Yes, you can. / No, you can’t.
B. Materials
- Ss: book Tieng anh 3.
- T: stereo, teaching plan, pictures.
C. Contents and organization.
I. Warm up
- T and Ss greet.


II. Old lesson
Revising the previous lesson by calling a group of five to come to the front of the class and act out the instructions learnt.
III. New lesson
- Tell ss that they are going to practise asking for permission using May I …?
- Draw pls’ attention to the first pic and elicit the names of the characters. T explain what they say.
- Play the recording three times for Ss say along.
- Get ss to work in pairs to practice the dialogue.
- Call some pairs to practise aloud. T listen and give feedback.

- Tell ss that they are going to practise asking for and giving permission, using May I …? Yes, you can. / No, you can’t.
- Point to each picture, elicit the meaning of the words under it. Use the 1st picture as an example.
- Write the question and answer on the board. Have Ss repeat them a few times.
