A. Aims and objectives
- In this review unit, the T will help pls to revise the topics, the language competences, the language knowledge (phonics, vocabulary, sentence patterns ) and the language skills (listening, speaking, reading, writing) they have learnt from U6 to U10.
- By the end of this unit, pls can:
+ listen and identify specific information
+ read and identify specific information
+ read and identify general ideas.
B. Materials
- Ss: book Tieng anh 3.
- T: stereo, teaching plan, pictures.
C. Contents and organization
I. Warm up
- T and Ss greet.
II. Old lesson
- No checking
III. New lesson.
- T elicit name of the characters.
- Tell Ss that they are going to listen and tick the boxes under the pictures.
- Show ss how to carry out the task and tick the boxes.
- Play the recording 2 times for Ss do the task.
- Call ss to give the answers.
- Play the recording the last time to check Ss’ answers.
- T explain the answers and give further support to pls who got more than half of the answers wrong.

- Tell pls that they are going to listen and number the correct boxes.
- Get Ss a few seconds to look at the pictures.
- Play the recording three times for pls to listen, do the task and check their answers.
- Get ss’s answer.

- Tell pls that they are going to read and fill the gaps. Get Ss a few seconds to read the text in silence. Check comprehensions.
- Ss do the task in pairs.

- Tell pupils that they are going to read all the sentences on the left and pair them with those on the right by drawing a line between them.
- Ask ss to read the text in silence.
