A. Aims and objectives
- In this period, Ss practice speaking and listening skills. They learn how to ask and answer questions about the quantity of pets, using How many + (word for pet) + do you have?.
- After the lesson , Ss can:
+ Use the words and phrases related to the topic Toys.
+ Ask and answer questions about the quantity of pets, using How many + (word for pet) + do you have?

- Ss: book Tieng anh 3.
- T: stereo, teaching plan, pictures.

I. Warm up
- T and Ss play game “Listing”


II. Old lesson
Revising the previous lesson (using real objects) :
What toys do you like? – I like…..
III. New lesson
- Tell ss that they are going to practice talking about a number of pets and toys.
- Draw pls’ attention to the first pic and elicit the names of the characters and the text in the bubbles. T explain what they say.
- Play the recording three times for Ss say along.
- Get ss to work in pairs to practice the dialogue.
- Call some pairs to practise aloud. T listen and give feedback.

- Tell ss that they are going to practice asking and answering questions about a number of pets, using How many + (word for pet) + do you have?.
- Have Ss look at the pictures and read the words.
- Get pls to repeat each word a few times. T point Pic a and elicit the words to fill the gap.
- Write the question and answer on the board. Have Ss repeat them a few times.
- Get ss to work in pairs
- Go around to offer help.
- Call some pairs to practise aloud.
- Listen and give feedback

- Tell Ss that they are going to practice more with their friends.
- Give a few seconds for pls to look at the pictures. Check comprehension.
- T elicit the words to fill the gaps.
- Write the question and answer on the board.
- Get pls to repeat a few times.
- Get ss to work in pairs.
- Call some pairs to perform the task in front of the class.
- T correct the pronunciation, if necessary.
