III. New lesson
- Tell ss that they are going to practice asking and answering questions about distance, using Is …..near?and Yes, It is./ No, it isn’t .
- Draw pls’ attention to the first pic and elicit the names of the characters and the text in the bubbles. T explain what they say.
- Play the recording three times for Ss say along.
- Get ss to work in pairs to practice the dialogue.
- Call some pairs to practise aloud. T listen and give feedback.

- Tell ss that they are going to practice asking and answering the question about distance, using Is …..near?and Yes, It is./ No, it isn’t .
- Have Ss look at the pictures and elicit the meanings of the words.
- Get pls to repeat each word a few times. T point Pic a and elicit the words to fill the gap.
- Write the question and answer on the board. Have Ss repeat them a few times.
- Get ss to work in pairs
- Go around to offer help.
- Call some pairs to practise aloud.
- Listen and give feedback

- Tell Ss that they are going to practice more with their friends.
